Warehouse Operative in Newmarket - Exact Sourcing Ltd

We are looking for a hardworking and proactive Warehouse Operative to join a local business that values its staff. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You won’t just be stuck behind a workstation; you’ll be an integral part of the workflow, ensuring our customers get exactly what they need, when they need it.

As the Warehouse Operative, you will be based locally in Newmarket, working Monday to Friday 8h00 to 16h30. This is a temporary-to-permanent position for the right person. There is a lovely culture, and you will get the chance to work in a friendly, welcoming team environment. There will be full support to help you learn the ropes and succeed in the role.

As the Warehouse Operative, you will be doing:

• The Core Tasks: Picking and packing orders with accuracy and care.
• The Heavy Lifting: Emptying containers, offloading pallets, and rebuilding them for dispatch (you’ll need to enjoy staying active!).
• The "Extra Mile": Calling clients to verify delivery addresses or confirm order details—friendly communication is key here.
• Admin Support: Using the computer to send occasional emails or update records.
• Proactive Working: While you’ll be part of a "lovely" supportive team, we value someone who sees a task that needs doing and just gets on with it.

As the Warehouse Operative, you will enjoy:

• Communication: You should be confident speaking to clients over the phone and clear when communicating with your teammates.
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable using a computer and sending professional emails.
• Attitude: You are a quick learner, eager to work hard, and genuinely want to grow with a good company.
• Fitness: Physically fit and happy to manage lifting and manual handling tasks.
• Reliability: We are a stable team, and we’re looking for someone who wants to be a long-term part of that.
