A great opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual ,at the beginning of their finance career as an Accounts Assistant with a well-established organisation in Hemel Hempstead. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll receive full training and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting tasks within a supportive, friendly team.
Key responsibilities

• Raising month-end sales invoices
• Credit control duties
• Coding and approving supplier invoices
• Processing credit card payments and all bank transactions
• Managing the Accounts mailbox and responding to queries
• Maintaining accurate customer records
• Preparing BACS payment runs
• Checking and processing employee expenses
• General administrative support to the finance team

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong IT skills, especially Excel
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good commercial awareness
• Understanding of accounting principles (training provided)
• Experience using Opera is an advantage
