Fixed-Term Contract to March 2027
Part-Qualified ACCA / CIMA

Our client is growing fast — backed by private equity, expanding across the UK, and transforming the finance function from the ground up.

They are building something new, and this is your chance to help shape it.

We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant who thrives in a changing environment, loves solving problems, and wants to play a meaningful role in modernising how we work.

With a new finance system launching in 2026, this role offers huge scope to learn, influence, and grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

Month-End & Reporting

  • Support month-end close: journals, accruals, prepayments, variance analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations with clear documentation.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks to ensure an accurate, timely close.

Financial Control & Compliance

  • Support the rollout of a new PO system and associated controls.
  • Work with the Finance Controller and FP&A Manager to enhance internal and external financial analysis.
  • Help improve P&L reporting by entity and by store.
  • Support audit activity and maintain accounting policies and process documentation.

Transactional Oversight

  • Review transactional postings for accuracy as we move toward real-time finance.
  • Act as an escalation point for AR/AP and bank reconciliation queries.
  • Support automation across transactional and reporting processes.

Finance Systems & Implementation

  • Assist with data migration: cleansing, validation, reconciliation.
  • Support UAT testing to ensure outputs align with accounting requirements.
  • Help create training materials and support end users during system adoption.

What We’re Looking For

  • Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA.
  • Strong understanding of core finance processes and month-end.
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
  • Detail-driven, curious, dependable, and proactive.
  • Comfortable adapting to new challenges and supporting different areas of finance.
  • Experience of being involved in a finance system implementation is a bonus.

What We’ll Give You

  • Staff discount on storage and retail products
  • Laptop
  • Great bonus scheme
  • Contributory pension
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Employee perks scheme
  • Additional benefits after qualifying period

Our client is a private equity–backed, high-growth organisation with ambitious expansion plans.

They are committed to building an inclusive team that reflects a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives — because the more diverse we are, the better we become.
