Job Description

An established and reputable personal injury practice is seeking an experienced Serious Injury Associate to handle a high-value, complex caseload involving life-changing injuries. This position sits within a specialist serious injury team, working with clients who have suffered traumatic events and require exceptional levels of support, care, and expertise.

You will be able to work in a London hub or fully remote.

Client Details

You will independently manage a caseload of serious injury claims typically valued between £150,000 and £5 million+, predominantly arising from road traffic accidents. Alongside fee-earning responsibilities, you will also provide mentorship to colleagues and contribute to the continued growth and strategic development of the department.

Description

  • Manage and progress your own caseload of complex, high-value serious injury claims.
  • Deliver outstanding client care, maintaining strong and empathetic relationships through regular communication and meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary experts including medical specialists, case managers, architects, forensic accountants, and counsel.
  • Draft high-quality legal documentation such as witness statements, pleadings, and schedules of loss.
  • Secure early interim payments and appropriate rehabilitation support for clients.
  • Lead and mentor members of the client case team, conducting reviews, providing guidance, and supporting their development.
  • Support the implementation of new processes and best practice across the team.
  • Actively engage in business development activities, including writing articles, reporting cases, and representing the department within relevant industry organisations (e.g., APIL, Headway, SIA).
  • Drive case progression while meeting KPIs relating to client care, team performance, fee income, and recoveries.

Profile

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEx Fellow with approx. 8+ years PQE or equivalent demonstrable expertise.
  • Proven experience handling high-value serious injury cases as lead fee earner.
  • Strong technical litigation skills and excellent knowledge of court procedures.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues; a collaborative team player and role model.
  • Demonstrable commitment to delivering exceptional client care.
  • Strong professional reputation with experience raising organisational profile within the personal injury sector.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while maintaining high standards.

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary ranging from £72,000 to £88,000 per annum.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • Fully remote available.
  • Comprehensive benefits package
