Public facilities cleaner in Frinton-on-Sea - Market36 Recruitment Ltd

Market 36 Recruitment are delighted to be supporting Essex County Council (ECC) on behalf of Tendring District Council in recruiting a Public Convenience Cleaner on a part-time temporary basis. This role involves attending multiple public convenience sites and ensuring they are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.

Hours: 7:00am – 10:00am and 1:00pm – 4:00pm

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required)

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (mileage paid). You must also be able to drive Council-owned vehicles.

Duties Will Include

• Cleaning public convenience facilities to required hygiene and safety standards
• Locking and unlocking facilities and completing security checks
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations at all times
• Removing blood and other human waste when required
• Maintaining cleaning equipment in good working order
• Providing cover for attended toilets in Frinton
• Assisting members of the public to safely use the facilities
• Handling cash from gated entry systems and securing appropriately
• Reporting faults and defects to the Technical Officer
• Working independently and managing time across multiple sites
• Undertaking additional duties as directed by the Technical Officer or Cleaning Supervisor

The Ideal Candidate

• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
• Able to drive Council-owned vehicles
• Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
• Reliable and flexible with working hours
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Able to carry out physically demanding cleaning duties

The successful candidate will be shown the full route by the Cleaning Supervisor.
