Talent Acquisition Business Partner

This role is pivotal in driving our talent acquisition strategy and ensuring we attract high-calibre candidates who align with our company values and culture and our clients/partner's needs.

The BP will work closely with hiring managers, and internal or external stakeholders to design and implement effective recruitment strategies. ensuring that the right candidates are matched with the right positions.

This role involves a deep understanding of the industry, our client's needs exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with both clients, candidates and hiring managers. 

Recruitment Strategy Development 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent attraction strategies to meet the company's hiring needs. 
  • Analyse market trends and labour data to inform recruitment strategies and identify new sourcing channels. 
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions and specifications.      

Client Relationship Management: 

  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and partners to understand their staffing needs, business culture, and hiring processes. 
  • Build relationships and liaise with hiring managers to understand position requirements.
  • To improve the ability to source candidates for our vacancies. 

Candidate Sourcing and Pipeline Management: 

  • Leverage various sourcing methods to identify potential candidates, including social media, job boards, networking events, and employee referrals. 
  • Search or headhunt potential candidates 
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs. 
  • Develop relationships with potential candidates to create a strong network of top talent. 

Candidate Assessment and Selection: 

  • Screen CVs and conduct initial phone screenings to evaluate candidate qualifications
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the process. 
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on candidate selection and offer negotiation 

  • Present shortlisted candidates to clients and provide detailed profiles 
  • Submit shortlisted candidates to hiring managers, ensuring that accurate and relevant notes have been placed on the ATS to assist the hiring managers in their hiring decisions 
  • Offer support to both clients and candidates after placement to ensure a smooth transition and address any concerns that may arise.   

Employer Branding: 

  • Promote the company's employer brand through various channels, including social media, career fairs, and industry events. 
  • Develop and implement creative recruitment marketing campaigns to attract top talent. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content that showcases the company's culture and values.  

Market Research: 

  • Stay informed about industry trends, salary benchmarks, and employment laws to provide expert advice to clients and candidates. 

Training and Mentorship: 

  • Provide training and mentorship to resources and recruiters, sharing knowledge and experience. 

Performance Metrics and Reporting: 

  • Track and analyse key recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent attraction strategies. 
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities, including sourcing effectiveness, pipeline status, and time-to-fill
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve recruitment processes and outcomes.
  • Maintain awareness of and always follow company policies and procedures.  
  • Take personal responsibility to comply with health & safety regulations. 
  • Take responsibility for your own personal development and ensure all mandatory training is completed on time.  
  • Adhere to all General Data Protection Regulations and policies (GDPR)    

Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. 
  • Ability to build a rapport with candidates and hiring managers/clients. 
  • Plan, organise, follow-up and follow-through to task completion. 
  • Work independently as well as in a team. 
  • Adaptability and an ability to multitask and manage time effectively. 
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment software, databases, and other technology tools. 
  • Previous experience in a talent attraction role; client side or agency 
  • Accustomed to the use of social media and other talent attraction mechanisms. 

Education/Qualifications Required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint 
  • A Levels in a humanities subject 
  • GSCE English and mathematics.
