Job Description

A leading alternative investment firm with a strong track record across Europe is seeking a Senior Vice President /Vice President to join its Real Estate Special Situations investment team. The team focuses on sourcing, underwriting, and executing complex and opportunistic investments across capital structures, including distressed, transitional, and event-driven real estate and corporate situations.
 
This individual will play a key role in origination, transaction leadership, portfolio strategy, and capital deployment across Western Europe, with a strong focus on the UK, France and Germany as well as Southern Europe and Benelux.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Source, identify and evaluate special situations investment opportunities across real estate-linked credit, corporate credit, and equity.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with advisors, lenders, banks, and market counter parties.
  • Monitor market dynamics to identify dislocation-driven opportunities and thematic pipelines.
  • Investment Execution
  • Lead underwriting, due diligence, modelling, structuring, and negotiation processes.
  • Manage legal, technical, and tax work streams with external advisors.
  • Prepare and present investment committee materials and recommendations.
  • Structure bespoke capital solutions.
 
Experience & Qualifications
  • 10–15 years’ experience in real estate private equity, credit investing, special situations, or restructuring (private credit, opportunistic real estate, or distressed investing)
  • Applicants may have started their careers within investment banking/advisory
  • Strong execution track record across complex, distressed, or opportunistic transactions.
  • Advanced financial modelling and transaction structuring skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and cultivate market relationships.
  • Strong commercial judgement and problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience across UK & Western European markets including France and Germany
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter capable of running processes independently and mentoring junior team members.
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and intellectually curious.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and high-performance environment.
  • Proactive team player with strong integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams under time pressure.
 
Compensation
  • Competitive package comprising base salary, annual bonus, and carried interest participation.
