Job Description
Our client is looking for a part-qualified (actively studying) management accountant to join their business, working on behalf of one of their customers. The salary for this role is £38-44k and it is a hybrid role (3 days in office). Experience with SAP is highly desirable but not essential.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis across multiple business units.
- Respond promptly to customer queries by providing clear explanations and guiding them through financial data rather than simply presenting numbers.
- Embrace new ideas and proactively seek ways to improve processes as the business embeds new contracts and establishes fresh setups.
- Utilise SAP (preferred) and advanced Excel functions such as Sum If, pivot tables, V lookups, H lookups to manage complex datasets efficiently.
- Contribute to fostering a supportive culture by sharing insights and solutions with colleagues in a communal environment.
- Take ownership of learning organisational processes and procedures quickly so that customer service remains uninterrupted.
- Assist in KPI tracking where required, helping drive transparency within the finance function.
- Engage in regular communication with professional customers from large businesses who are fair and approachable.
- Participate actively in team meetings and discussions, being accountable for your actions while supporting others.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new concepts quickly while embracing changes within the organisation.
- Excellent communication skills that enable you to build rapport with professional customers from large businesses.
- Diligence and attention to detail when handling financial data across multiple systems including SAP (preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel functions such as Sum If, pivot tables, V lookups, H lookups; Power BI experience is desirable.
- 2-3 years' experience within a finance or customer-focused background ideally gained in similar environments.
- Part-qualified accountant (mid-way through training) or someone keen to achieve full qualification soon.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dependable team while being accountable for individual contributions.
- Adaptability when learning new processes quickly especially during periods of organisational change.
