Job Title: Assistant Accountant - Temporary
Location: Leicestershire
Pay Rate: £18-20 per hour (PAYE)
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (3mnths initially)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a professional team based in Leicestershire. This role is perfect for someone with a solid background in accounting, particularly in managing and validating large volumes of financial data. You'll be responsible for handling high-volumes data, ensuring accuracy, and validating large financial datasets. The role requires someone who can hit the ground running and deliver high-quality work from day one.
Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and validate large volumes of financial data (up to 75,000 lines).
• Ensure data consistency and integrity, identifying and resolving discrepancies as they arise.
• Support the team with day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping and reconciliation.
• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
• Assist with financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure deadlines and standards are met.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Essential that you have proven experience in accounting or a similar financial role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large datasets.
• Good understanding of financial processes and reconciliation.
• Experience with accounting software or systems (Excel proficiency is a must).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to work within a team and liaise with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to start immediately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
