Newstaff Employment Services is currently seeking a skilled Bench Joiner to join our team in Flitwick. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating wooden components and fixtures in a workshop environment. The ideal candidate will have strong woodworking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings to produce high-quality joinery products.

• Work from technical drawings and specifications to create and assemble wooden structures such as doors, windows, and cabinetry.
• Operate various woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, routers, and sanders, to shape and finish wood components.
• Ensure quality control by measuring and inspecting materials and finished products for accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements.
• Participate in continual improvement processes to enhance productivity and product quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or in a similar woodworking role.
• Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, tools, and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a woodworking environment.
