Job description - the role

On behalf of PwC, we are looking for an Executive Assistantfor a contract until the end of May with possibility of extension based in Birmingham, on a PAYE day rate engagement, on a hybrid working pattern.

Join us as an Executive Assistant:

As an Executive Assistant you will provide crucial administrative, secretarial, and organizational support to partners and directors by managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and events, arranging travel, preparing reports and presentations, managing correspondence, and maintaining confidential information and databases. Key skills include strong communication, discretion, proactivity, attention to detail, and proficiency with standard software packages.

What you'll do:

  • Proactively manage demanding diaries, scheduling meetings
  • Act as a first point of contact, answer calls, manage emails, and prepare and proofread reports, presentations, and other correspondence according to firm standards.
  • Organize internal and external meetings, including booking venues, arranging catering, managing IT requirements, and coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Plan and book all aspects of business travel, including flights, accommodation, transport, and visas.
  • Compile and prepare presentations and reports using PwC standards and software.
  • Maintain and update client and internal databases, manage filing systems, and ensure control over confidential information.
  • Handle expense reporting, manage timesheets, and provide general administrative assistance to support the executive and team.

The skills you'll need:

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a professional telephone manner.
  • Good working knowledge of standard software packages and the ability to learn new firm-specific systems.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
