Working for a well-respected social housing contractor across Manchester on a permanent contract.
Your new role

• Carry out daily and weekly caretaking duties across housing blocks and estates
• Clean communal areas, including stairwells, landings, foyers, lifts, and bin stores.
• Remove bulk waste, fly-tipping, and litter from communal spaces
• Complete minor repairs and small maintenance tasks (e.g. tightening hinges, adjusting doors, replacing toilet seats, changing light bulbs)
• Carry out health & safety checks, fire door checks, and record inspections
• Report hazards, vandalism, ASB issues, and property defects to the office.
• Ensure bin areas and recycling points are tidy and accessible

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in caretaking, cleaning, facilities, grounds maintenance, or housing maintenance roles
• Ability to carry out basic repairs and use hand tools safely
• Strong awareness of site safety, cleanliness, and safeguarding responsibilities
• Full UK driving licence
