Job Description
We are seeking a Safeguarding professional to join a well known organisation in the heart of Chelmsford. You will provide vital support and expert guidance on complex cases involving both children and adults.
The organisation are committed to providing a safe environment for children and vulnerable adults and this position will be key in dealing with relevant policies and procedures needed to mitigate any risk.
Package Details: - Starting salary circa £37,000
- Working Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
- Hybrid working available
- Enhanced pension
- 25 days holiday + BH
The Role - Manage and investigate a dedicated caseload while maintaining accurate digital records.
- Advise and provide guidance on safeguarding enquiries whilst building relationships with stakeholders.
- Conduct risk evaluations and create formal safeguarding agreements.
- Act as a lead advisor to local volunteers and staff members.
- Facilitate core group meetings and coordinate support for those affected by abuse.
- Collaborate with statutory partners including the Police and Social Care teams.
- Ensure GDPR is stuck to and any other general related admin tasks.
Requirements - At least two years of experience managing safeguarding cases and assessing risk within a statutory or similar sector
- A Social Work degree or similar qualification is highly desirable.
- Recent specialist training in child protection, adult safeguarding, or domestic abuse.
- Strong communication skills and a clear understanding of trauma informed practice.
- Proven resilience and the ability to work collaboratively in challenging environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a clean driving licence with access to a car.
- Ability to be flexible with work hours/days when necessary – prior notice given.
