Job Description

A leading global asset and investment management organisation is seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst to join its Client Data team as part of a strategic data initiative.

This role is focused on data discovery, data quality assessment, and business process optimisation , supporting the development of a robust, scalable, and future-ready data estate . You will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to improve data accessibility, consistency, and governance across client-related domains.

HYBRID WORKING

The Client Data team is responsible for discovering, cataloguing, and analysing business processes and data flows across the organisation’s client-facing domains.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Discovery & Documentation
  • Identify and catalogue existing data sources , including CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce) , databases, and data warehouses
  • Document data structures, ownership, access points , and associated business processes
  • Map end-to-end data flows and system integrations
Data Quality Assessment
  • Assess data quality, completeness, consistency, and reliability across data sources
  • Identify and document data duplications, inconsistencies, and gaps
Recommendations & Roadmap
  • Recommend improvements for data integration, rationalisation, and consolidation
  • Propose data governance and master data management approaches
  • Map and optimise business processes , identifying opportunities for automation and data-driven improvements
  • Support prioritisation of remediation activities based on business impact and feasibility

Experience :

Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Asset / Investment Management or wider financial services

Experience working with client data , including CRM platforms such as Salesforce , within complex data environments

Demonstrable hands-on experience in:

  • Data discovery and documentation
  • Data quality assessment
  • Business process modelling

Strong understanding of data warehousing and data management principles

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical contexts

Proficiency with business analysis tools and techniques , including:

  • BPMN
  • User stories
  • Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Confluence

Experience delivering in Agile environments
