Job Description
A global mid-market investment banking name is hiring a VP within their Business Services team to support a strong pipeline of deals.
The team successfully supports a wide range of successful Services and Tech-enabled Services businesses with strategic growth options. Key subsectors include Education & Training, Specialist Consulting, Human Capital, Information Services, Environmental Services, Professional outsourcing and Software & Subscriptions.
Deals are broadly 100-500m and they boast strong deal flow and an excellent track record.
The selected individual will play a key role in the origination and execution of M&A and capital-raising transactions, managing day-to-day deal processes, liaising with clients and overseeing junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Aiding continued market growth by helping drive deal M&A origination and execution
- Working on a range of buy and sell side M&A transactions and leading a wide variety of quantitative analyses, discounted cash flow, multiple valuation analysis etc
- Developing investment scenarios and corresponding presentation/ prospectus material, valuation analysis, business plans, and financial projections
- Monitoring relevant transactions, capital market trends, company financial statements, industry, regulatory, and economic information etc
- Works directly with seniors in all facets of the business, including marketing, transaction evaluation and transaction processing
Desired profile
- M&A professional with strong deal experience accrued in an investment bank, boutique or Big 4 lead advisory team
- Experience working with Business Services clients is preferred
- Ability to apply fundamentals of economic and financial analysis methods for business decisions, finance, accounting, business statistics, marketing, investment, financial forecasting and marketing at a high level
- Experience supervising Analyst and Associate level staff
