Data Platform Lead in London - Method Resourcing

£100,000-£110,000 + bonus
Hybrid - London (2 days onsite)

We're hiring a Data Platform Lead to take ownership of an existing data warehouse and the systems around it.

The platform is already in production and widely used. This role is focused on keeping it reliable, improving data quality, and developing the modelling layer so it supports analytics, operational reporting, and data science use cases properly.

The role is hands-on. You'll spend a meaningful amount of time working directly with SQL and data models, alongside leading a small data team. You'll be responsible for setting standards around how data is structured, tested, and governed, and for working with engineering teams to improve the quality of data coming into the warehouse.

There's a mix of legacy systems and newer tooling following several years of organisational change, so the role involves untangling complexity rather than building everything from scratch. You'll need to be comfortable challenging upstream teams and explaining why certain data practices need to change.

The team currently works with BigQuery and dbt. Experience with these tools is useful, but strong warehouse modelling experience on other platforms is equally valid.

This role leans towards backend data work rather than dashboards or visualisation. There are analysts and BI tools in place already; the priority here is the platform underneath them.

You'll also be responsible for running delivery cycles for data work, managing priorities, and supporting the development of engineers in the team.

What we're looking for
