An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced insurance professional to join a growing London-based MGA as an Underwriting Operations Analyst / Team Manager.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for supporting the Operations Director in ensuring smooth day-to-day running, developing best practice processes, and maintaining operational excellence across underwriting, compliance, and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, document, and maintain best practice operational processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Support the Operations Director in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Manage and oversee reporting requirements for binding authorities, including BDX, exposure data, ELTO returns, and compliance reporting.
Assist with external and internal audits, including TOBA reviews and regulatory processes.
Provide leadership, training, and support to Underwriting Assistants and Operations Administrators.
Maintain and version control key documentation including wordings, endorsements, and binding authorities.
Collaborate with support functions such as Compliance, IT, HR, and Credit Control to deliver high operational standards.
About You
Previous underwriting experience in Property, Casualty or PI
Experience within, or strong interest in, insurance operations
Experience in an MGA environment
Minimum Cert CII qualification
Proficiency in Excel (including macros/VBA)
Experience using Salesforce
Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach
