The business operates at the intersection of marketing analytics and customer insight, combining performance data from paid media, digital analytics, and customer behaviour to inform decision-making. Its work is highly collaborative and client-facing, supporting fast-moving marketing environments where insight needs to be translated quickly into action.
THE TEAM
You'll join a collaborative data and analytics team embedded within client accounts and working closely with marketing, strategy, and technology stakeholders.
The team structure includes data partners, marketing technology specialists, project managers, and senior data leadership. This role will support multiple client engagements, typically splitting time across two accounts, and requires confidence working directly with stakeholders in a fast-paced, agency-style environment.
THE ROLE
This Marketing & Customer Analyst role focuses on analysing marketing performance and customer behaviour to generate clear, actionable insight for clients.
You'll work across paid media analysis, creative effectiveness, and customer analytics, using data from multiple platforms to understand what's driving performance and how campaigns and customer strategies can be optimised.
The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, requiring strong Excel capability, confidence working with marketing data, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders through presentations and reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Performance Analytics
Analyse creative effectiveness, headline performance, bidding strategies, and regional optimisation across paid media platforms
Work with data from platforms such as paid search, paid social, and programmatic advertising
Assess performance metrics including ROAS, CPL, CTR, and conversion rates
Combine data from multiple sources, including digital analytics tools, to produce actionable insights
Customer & Behavioural Analytics
Analyse customer behaviour including loyalty, retention, membership dynamics, and purchasing patterns
Identify trends, changes, and underlying drivers of customer actions
Support behavioural segmentation and customer insight initiatives
Translate findings into clear recommendations that inform marketing and business decisions
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
Deliver analysis using tools such as Excel and BI platforms
Present insights clearly through reports and presentations
Work closely with data partners and strategy leads to support client delivery
Operate confidently in client-facing environments, responding to changing priorities
TOOLS & TECHNOLOGY
Excel (advanced level required)
Power BI and Looker (both required)
Digital analytics platforms - Google and Adobe analytics
Paid media platforms (search, social, and programmatic)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential
2-4 years' experience in marketing analytics, customer analytics, or a related role
Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivots, and data manipulation
Experience working with marketing and performance data
Understanding of paid media metrics and optimisation principles
Experience analysing customer behaviour and segmentation
Degree in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related quantitative discipline
Comfortable working in fast-paced, marketing agency
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain insights clearly
