Commercial Finance Analyst in London - Quest Search and Selection Ltd

Quest Search & Selection is recruiting for a Commercial Finance Analyst, to supports business performance through accurate reporting, in-depth analysis, and effective financial planning. This involves creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards and automated reports, and analysing data to highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities.

We are currently partnering with a global retail business that brings both global brands and local favourites to millions of customers each year. With new store launches planned, this is an exciting time to join a high-performing team within the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities for this Commercial Finance Analyst role:

• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reports.
• Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting.
• Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and performance drivers.
• Provide clear insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Review and challenge budget and forecast assumptions.
• Prepare month-end management accounts and variance analysis.
• Produce ad-hoc analysis as required.

Key Requirements of this Commercial Finance Analyst role:

• Ideally have 3-4 years' + experience in FP&A or commercial analytical roles
• Experience in retail, FMCG, supermarket, retail, or wholesale is desirable
• Strong experience building Power BI dashboards and data models is essential
• Proven delivery of automated, accurate, and visually impactful Power BI reporting to support financial and commercial decision-making.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as SAP BI and SAP Analysis is desirable but not essential.
