An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Reporting Accountant to join a well-established, multi-entity UK business based in Harrogate.

This is a broad and technically engaging role, offering exposure across group reporting, statutory and management accounts, tax compliance, cash management, audit, and financial controls. The position will play a key role in strengthening processes, improving controls, and supporting continuous improvement across the UK finance function.

Reporting into the Head of Group Reporting, you will take ownership of key UK entities while also providing guidance and support to other UK finance teams. You will operate within strict group reporting deadlines and act as a technical point of contact for group systems and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and budgeting for UK holding entities

• Managing intercompany accounting and resolving variances

• Supporting UK group consolidations and acting as the UK systems expert for consolidation and group reporting tools

• Production of annual statutory accounts for selected UK entities and liaison with auditors

• Oversight of corporate governance submissions, internal audit requirements and Companies House filings

• Management of UK VAT reporting and support across wider tax matters (corporation tax, PAYE, ONS submissions)

• Day-to-day cash management, bank reconciliations and treasury liaison

• Supporting improvements to financial controls, systems, processes and governance frameworks

• Involvement in ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function

• Fully qualified or late stage PQ (ACA, ACCA)

• Strong technical accounting background

• Confident working to tight deadlines in a structured, group-reporting environment

• Naturally detail-oriented with the ability to challenge, improve and enhance existing processes

• Strong communication skills with the confidence to work across finance and non-finance stakeholder
