RESEARCH ANALYST

Location: North Yorkshire (flexible / hybrid working considered)
Hours: Full-time or part-time considered
Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience

THE ROLE
An established consultancy is looking to appoint a Research Analyst to support a wide range of strategic and advisory projects. This role would suit someone with a strong interest in research, analysis, and evidence-based insight, particularly within land-based, rural, or community-focused contexts.

You'll play a key role in gathering, analysing, and presenting data to support consultancy work, business development, and internal knowledge sharing, with a focus on land management and rural communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake qualitative and quantitative research to support client and internal projects

  • Source, analyse, and interpret data relating to land use, land management, and rural communities

  • Design and manage surveys, consultations, and other data collection tools

  • Produce clear, accurate, and well-structured reports and presentations

  • Maintain and develop research databases and internal knowledge resources

  • Support wider business development, marketing, and thought leadership activity

  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders as required

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in a research, analysis, or research support role

  • Demonstrable understanding of land management and land-based issues

  • Insight into rural communities and the social, economic, or environmental factors affecting them

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail

  • Confident handling data and translating information into clear, practical insight

  • Experience within consultancy, planning, rural affairs, land management, or the public sector would be beneficial
