Business Development Manager

Sheffield – Hybrid (3 Days a week in office)

£38,000 – £48,000 + Commission (£40,000 OTE)

If so, Elevation Recruitment Group may be recruiting the role for you!  We’re on the hunt for a Business Development Manager for our client who is a market-leading software business.

This is a senior outbound sales role focused on driving new revenue, building a strong pipeline and closing complex, high-value software deals.

Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager:

  • Drive SaaS revenue growth by winning new business within a defined customer base
  • Proactively generate pipeline through outbound calling and targeted prospecting
  • Engage and influence senior and C-level decision makers
  • Deliver high-quality, value-based software demonstrations
  • Own the full sales cycle from first contact through to close
  • Consistently hit and exceed sales targets and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and deliver reliable revenue forecasts
  • Build strong market and product knowledge to stay ahead of competitors
  • Work closely with the wider sales team to identify cross-sell opportunities
  • Lead by example, sharing best practice and supporting team success

Requirements of a Business Development Manager:

  • Proven successful experience within SaaS sales
  • Strong track record of exceeding revenue targets
  • Confident, credible communicator with senior stakeholders
  • Resilient, driven and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to sell value, not features
  • Highly organised with excellent CRM and pipeline management skills
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong customer focus
