Management Accountant

Spilsby/Hybrid

Circa £50k

Benjamin Edwards are currently recruiting for a proactive and hands on Management Accountant to join a respected and long-standing organisation based in the East Lindsay district.  As Management Accountant, you will be joining a newly refreshed finance structure and will play an important role in strengthening the day-to-day financial capability of the business. Reporting into senior finance, the Management Accountant will be central to the delivery of accurate monthly reporting and insightful financial analysis. The focus is commercial and operational, ensuring financial information is translated into meaningful insight that supports informed decision-making across the business. You will work alongside non-finance colleagues, helping them understand financial performance, costs, and emerging trends. This role would suit someone who enjoys business partnering rather than a purely reporting-focused position, and will suit an ambitious and adaptable Management Accountant who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, operational environment.

The role of Management Accountant

  • Preparing monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines
  • Posting journals, including accruals and prepayments
  • Performing bank reconciliations and managing payment runs
  • Assisting with cash flow reporting, with scope for increased involvement over time
  • Delivering financial analysis to support operational and commercial performance
  • Working closely with departmental managers to support budget ownership and cost control
  • Using an established ERP system (with plans for future system development)

The ideal candidate for the role of Management Accountant

  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA fully/part-qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Established Management Accountant or someone ready to step up into a broader role
  • Proficient using Excel and ERP systems
