Our client is a well-established firm with a strong presence in London. Known for its collaborative culture and commitment to excellence, the firm is continuing to grow its finance function and is now seeking a motivated Junior Credit Controller to join the Accounts team on a permanent basis.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Credit Controller to support the Credit Control Manager in maintaining an accurate debt ledger and managing the team's administrative processes. Key responsibilities include:
Proactively chasing overdue payments and issuing reminders in line with the firm's credit management policy
Ensuring accounts are reviewed and actioned within defined timelines and in accordance with departmental and SRA guidelines
Providing clear and accurate updates on outstanding balances
Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date records of all internal and external communications
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Managing the credit control mailbox and ensuring queries are resolved within agreed timescales
Monitoring, tracking, and reconciling incoming payments and outstanding balances
Assisting with month-end activities and collaborating with the wider finance team
Supporting continuous improvements to credit control processes
Requirements
1-2 years' experience in credit control, finance administration, or a similar role within professional services
Experience using Elite 3E is desirable
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formatting
