Intellectual Property Support Specialist

London – Full-Time, Hybrid

About the Role

You will provide specialist administrative and organisational support to fee earners across the IT & Engineering, Chemistry & Life Sciences, and Trade Marks groups. The role will primarily focus on patents, with potential future crossover into trade marks.

We’re looking for someone with at least a couple of years’ secretarial experience within professional services.

This is a full-time role with hybrid working (typically two days from home, depending on business needs).

Key Responsibilities

• Managing incoming post, emails, and electronic files
• Typing correspondence, reports, and specifications
• Organising meetings, calls, travel, and itineraries
• Working from prompt lists and tracking deadlines
• Preparing e-forms, invoices, and supporting e-billing
• Proofreading and ensuring accurate data entry
• Liaising with clients, fee earners, and support teams
• Providing cover and assisting with overflow work where required

Skills & Experience

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communication and relationship-building abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience in professional services is essential
• Science GCSEs or secretarial qualifications are an advantage
• Interest in IP, science, law, or technology is beneficial
