Job Description

Owen Reed is looking for a Family Practice Assistant for a top law firm in London.

This is a fantastic part-time opportunity for an experienced Family PA to support a busy and well-regarded Family team. The Family PA will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department, acting as a trusted point of contact for fee earners, clients and internal teams.

This role is ideal for a highly organised Family PA who enjoys a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality support while working part time.

Family PA – The Role

As a Family PA, you will provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to multiple fee earners, helping the team operate efficiently and effectively.

Family PA – Key Responsibilities

• Proactive diary management and coordination of meetings and calls

• Managing travel arrangements when required

• Organising meetings, conference calls and appointments

• Managing fee earners’ inboxes and correspondence

• Assisting with file opening, compliance checks and document management

• Supporting billing, expenses and financial processes

• Liaising closely with internal business support teams

Family PA – Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Legal PA or Family PA within a professional services or legal environment

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Experience supporting multiple busy fee earners

• Confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

• Familiarity with document management systems

• Strong communication skills with a proactive and positive attitude

• Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

• Knowledge of Mattersphere, iManage, Aderant and BigHand is desirable but not essential
