Job Description: Legal Secretary / Personal Assistant - within Anti-Trust department 
Location: Office-based (Monday to Thursday) with remote work on Fridays
Working Hours: 09:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Job Type: Full-time, permanent

We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented Legal Secretary / Personal Assistant to provide exceptional secretarial and administrative support to a team of 11 legal professionals. This is a dynamic role supporting two Partners, four Counsel, and five Associates in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex diaries and email inboxes for Partners and fee-earners
  • Organise internal and external meetings, including travel arrangements
  • Handle copy-typing and digital dictation tasks as required
  • Draft routine emails and correspondence for approval
  • Submit and track expenses using Chrome River
  • Assist with billing and other finance-related tasks
  • Maintain and update client contact information in Interaction
  • Respond to client enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Answer and screen telephone calls, managing routine queries
  • Format, amend, and proofread legal documents and agreements
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary in a similar role within a City law firm
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High level of IT proficiency and openness to new technologies
  • Excellent organisational and self-management skills
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong listening skills and a professional, discreet approach
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently
  • High level of client service orientation—proactive, adaptable, and responsive
  • Resilient under pressure with a flexible, team-player mindset
  • Skilled in document production and editing complex legal documents
  • Capable of working without close supervision while contributing positively to the team
  • Willing to support colleagues with lunch/telephone cover as needed
