About the Role

We are recruiting a Financial Reporting Technical Assistant Manager to join a leading UK accounting firm in their Infrastructure division. This is an internal-facing role focused on corporate reporting, compliance, and technical guidance.

The role involves reviewing annual reports and financial statements of public interest entities and other entities in scope of the firm's technical review requirements to ensure compliance with accounting standards, company legislation, and regulatory requirements. You will also provide technical support, guidance, and training to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review annual reports and financial statements to confirm compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, company legislation, and regulatory requirements.

  • Research, draft, and respond to technical queries on accounting and corporate reporting matters.

  • Provide technical support and advice to partners and staff.

  • Develop and issue internal technical guidance, papers, and training materials.

  • Maintain the firm's internal technical library and update pro-forma financial statements.

  • Prepare and deliver internal accounting and corporate reporting training sessions.

  • Liaise with internal teams and contribute to divisional technical initiatives.

Person Specification
  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accountancy qualification.

  • At least 1-year post-qualification experience (Assistant Manager level) in audit or a technical role.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, UK listing rules, and UK legislation.

  • Experience reviewing annual reports, financial statements, and developing internal technical materials.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organisational, project management, and presentation skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
