IBA Accounts Assistant
Our client, a well-established and expanding Lloyd’s insurance broker with a national presence, is seeking an IBA Accounts Assistant to support day-to-day finance operations. The role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the timely collection of insurance premiums, working closely with an established finance function within the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with insurance accounts or credit control experience to join a business that continues to expand and invest in its finance team.
Key Responsibilities - Monitor and manage the aged debt report to ensure timely collection of outstanding premiums, including the issuing of client credits
- Proactively chase overdue payments via telephone and email
- Resolve client payment issues and disputes efficiently and professionally
- Liaise with account handlers and brokers to support premium collection
- Accurately allocate receipts to client accounts using the Acturis accounting system
- Issue regular client statements and payment reminders
- Ensure insurer statements are settled in a timely manner
- Reconcile bank transactions
- Maintain and update client and insurer accounts within the finance system
- Provide ad-hoc support to the wider finance team and business as required
Requirements - Previous experience in credit control, ideally within insurance or financial services
- Knowledge of FCA regulations and premium handling is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numeracy skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Proactive team player with a problem-solving mindset
- Experience with Acturis is desirable
