Assistant Management Accountant in Blackburn - Rebus Recruitment Limited

We are currently recruiting for a large organisation based near Blackburn, who are currently looking for a Reconciliations Accountant/Assistant Management Accountant to join the team. The role will look to support the Group reporting function in the management of the transactional reporting, multiple bank accounts, associated reconciliations, and reporting processes across the Group.

The role involves: -

• Daily management of the accuracy of all the transactional processing and associated reconciliations, including AP, AR, cash, and banking managing queries as they arise.
• Work closely with AP teams to manage accurate settlement of accounts.
• Ensure all account balances are reported accurately and approved.
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Manage the freight costs and importing duties, ensuring all payments and accurate and timely.
• Monitor the stock reconciliations against the general ledger and investigate any variances that may arise.
• Maintaining internal controls around the stock reporting and procedures, review levels and slow-moving items.
• Manage the reporting of the full balance sheet review and ensure all movements are adequately explained.
• Assist with the preparation of tax and VAT returns and adhere to specific compliance.

The successful candidate will be ideally highly experienced within a high-volume transaction environment and have some solid reconciliations experience, alongside showing strong knowledge around stock and inventory management.
