Location:

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire (office-based)

Salary & Package:

• Basic salary up to £25,000 (including car allowance)
• Financial guarantees of £500 per month for 6 months
• Uncapped commission structure
• OTE £45,000 in Year 1, rising to £65,000+ thereafter

The Role – Trainee Mortgage Advisor / Trainee Mortgage Broker

As a Trainee Mortgage Advisor or Trainee Mortgage Broker based in Stoke-on-Trent, you will receive comprehensive training and support to develop into a successful Mortgage Advisor.

You will play a key role in guiding local clients through the mortgage application process, helping them secure the most suitable mortgage solutions for their needs and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and develop a strong understanding of the mortgage market, mortgage products, and FCA regulations
• Build strong relationships with clients across Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas
• Conduct initial client consultations and fact-finds
• Research and recommend suitable mortgage products from a wide panel of lenders
• Prepare and submit mortgage applications accurately and efficiently
• Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and estate agents throughout the mortgage process
• Provide regular updates to clients on application progress
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales and performance targets
• Actively participate in training programmes and professional development
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times

Candidate Requirements

• CeMAP 1 qualified (or equivalent)
• Lives within a reasonable commute of Stoke-on-Trent
• Previous sales or customer service experience (financial services preferred but not essential)
• Clean credit history
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident, professional, and relationship-driven approach
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn
• Positive, enthusiastic, and target-driven mindset
