We're working with a well-established business in Northwich looking to appoint a Management Accountant to support the Finance Director and lead the day-to-day finance function.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role with responsibility for month-end, reporting, compliance, and mentoring a small finance team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting the finance team, ensuring strong controls and accurate ledgers
• Preparing month-end trial balance, journals, and consolidated management accounts
• Delivering variance analysis, gross margin analysis, and ad-hoc financial reporting
• Supporting statutory compliance (VAT, HMRC, Companies House)
• Managing overseas subsidiary ledgers and liaising with external accountants
• Supporting year-end and bank audits
• Overseeing CID facilities and credit insurance arrangements

About you:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) - desirable
• Strong technical and analytical skills with a commercial mindset
• Experience in a mid-sized or group business environment
• Confident communicator with leadership and process-improvement experience
