Your rate of pay and hours of work

In these roles, you will be offered an hourly rate between £15.00 and £16.00, along with accrued holiday pay. With a wide range of flexible shifts and no minimum commitment, you can create a work schedule that seamlessly fits your personal preferences and lifestyle.

Responsibilities in your new role as Care Home and Nursery Chef

As a Care Home and Nursery Chef, your responsibilities will include preparing wholesome, high-quality meals tailored to individual dietary needs and ensuring a constant availability of healthy snacks and drinks throughout the day. You will also be in charge of managing kitchen inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained, and working alongside your team to uphold a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen space.

Your experience, qualifications and personality

To succeed in this role, you will need considerable experience as a Chef or Cook in similar settings, ideally within care or educational environments. You should possess strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations. A valid PVG certificate or Disclosure is required, though candidates willing to obtain one will also be considered.
