Crewe Area

Salary is up to £30,000


An established and well-regarded independent financial advice firm based in Crewe area is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Planning Assistant to join their supportive administration team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in financial planning administration who enjoys working in a client-focused, detail-driven environment and takes pride in delivering a high standard of support to advisers and clients.


The Role

You will provide comprehensive administrative support to Independent Financial Advisers, helping to ensure financial plans and investment proposals are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting advisers with the administration of financial plans and investment proposals
  • Setting up, maintaining and updating internal client files and records
  • Processing new business applications, transfers and associated paperwork
  • Servicing existing business including policy surrenders, fund switches and policy changes
  • Managing administrative tasks using back-office systems
  • Preparing paperwork for client meetings, including valuations, review packs and new business documentation
  • Liaising with product providers and third parties
  • Handling Letters of Authority
  • Ensuring compliance requirements are met and data is recorded accurately
  • Coordinating with colleagues to ensure client needs are met efficiently
  • Arranging client meetings and managing diaries
  • Managing emails, post and general office administration
  • Communicating with clients and providers via telephone and email


Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Financial Planning Assistant
  • Experience using Intelligent Office preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, organised and client-focused approach
  • Full training and ongoing support provided
