Personal Tax Accountant – Bristol

Position: Full-time/Permanent

Salary: £30k - £40k DOE

You’ll be joining a reputable and growing accountancy practice based in Bristol, working within a friendly and supportive team.  The firm has a strong client base and a clear structure, with corporate tax handled separately by the accounts team.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in personal tax with full study support available (if required)

Your Role

You will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, working closely with senior members of the team to ensure compliance deadlines are met and a high standard of client service is delivered.  The role is fully office-based, offering close collaboration, training, and support.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and submission of personal tax returns
• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
• Liaising with HMRC and responding to queries
• Supporting clients with personal tax compliance and advice
• Assisting with ad-hoc personal tax projects as required

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Previous experience working in personal tax within an accountancy practice
• Ideally ATT qualified or studying towards ATT (study support provided)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues
• A positive and proactive approach, with a desire to develop within personal tax
