Finance Assistant | Manchester | Hybrid | Temp to Perm | Up to £34,000

A global business is looking for a sharp, detail-driven Finance Assistant to join its growing team. This is a hands-on role supporting AP, AR, payments, and month-end, with scope to get involved in process improvements and system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Work with the outsourced provider to ensure accurate AP processing and PO compliance
• Match invoices to POs, resolve discrepancies, and manage supplier queries
• Support AR tasks including statements and basic ledger checks
• Assist with journals, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments at month-end
• Prepare payment runs and maintain strong audit trails
• Help maintain supplier and customer records and support system updates
• Contribute to process improvements and ad-hoc finance projects

About You

• Previous experience in purchase ledger, accounts assistant, or transactional finance
• Strong understanding of POs, invoice matching, and payment processes
• Organised, detail-focused, and confident in communicating internally and externally
