Job Description

Contracts Supervisor – Water Industry

Location: Kettering-based with UK-wide travel

Are you an experienced site supervisor looking to take the lead on specialist projects within the UK water industry? We’re recruiting for a Contracts Supervisor to join a well-established contracting division that has been operating for over 35 years.

This role offers the chance to combine hands-on site supervision with planning, preparation, and project delivery, working closely with an expert team to ensure contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

When not on-site, you’ll be based at the company’s Kettering head office, supporting the wider team with project planning, technical input, and administration. You’ll also represent the business on-site, managing squads and overseeing works across clean and wastewater facilities nationwide.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and supervising on-site teams to deliver filter refurbishment and related projects across potable and wastewater sites
  • Liaising with departments before, during, and after contracts to ensure smooth delivery
  • Providing technical assistance and problem-solving to maintain innovative working methods
  • Managing compliance with QA/QC and health & safety requirements
  • Preparing and completing relevant documentation and reports
  • Travelling to sites across the UK (including occasional weekend work)

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 2 years’ supervisory experience in the UK water industry
  • Previous experience managing teams on-site
  • CSCS card (essential) and ideally an EUSR Water Hygiene Card
  • Confined space entry experience (CSE/BA certificate preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence (trailer licence desirable)
  • First Aid at Work certification (preferred)
  • Experience operating plant equipment (valid licences desirable)

Why apply?

  • Competitive salary dependent on experience
  • Long-established, specialist contractor with a strong reputation in the water industry
  • The chance to play a key role in delivering technically challenging, environmentally focused projects across the UK
