Job Description
This developer is scaling a pipeline of residential projects and needs a technically excellent finance lead who understands construction realities. This is not a back-office number-crunching role. You will translate complex accounting and tax issues into commercial decisions that protect margins, speed delivery, and keep projects on track.

The impact you will make:
- Own statutory accounting and reporting for a portfolio of development entities, ensuring timely, audit-ready financial statements.
- Drive tax compliance and optimisation across VAT, corporation tax and developer-specific tax treatments to protect cashflow.
- Partner with project teams to forecast costs, model cashflows, and challenge assumptions that affect profitability.
- Improve controls and processes so finance becomes a proactive enabler of faster, cleaner project delivery.
- Present clear, commercial insight to the board and project directors so decisions are faster and less risky.

What we need from you:
- Qualified - Ideally ACA or ACCA
- Construction or property development background with hands-on exposure to development accounting.
- Strong statutory accounting experience including preparation of year-end accounts and working with auditors.
- Advanced reporting and tax knowledge covering VAT, corporation tax, and developer tax issues.
- Highly technical accounting skills: complex group accounting, IFRS/UK GAAP reconciliations, capitalisation of costs, joint ventures and related party disclosures.
- Commercial mindset: able to translate accounting detail into practical commercial recommendations.
- Available to start early January 2026 and able to commit to the fixed term.
Profile
A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
- Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA or ACCA.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
- Proven experience in the property industry or a similar sector.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £70,000 to £80,000.
