Role: Case Support Assistant
Salary: £23,000 - £26,000
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid
We are partnering with a leading organisation in the legal sector to recruit a motivated and highly organised Case Support Assistant to support senior file handlers within a specialist Serious Injury team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with personal injury experience who enjoys a fast-paced, structured environment and a role that combines client interaction, case progression and administrative support.
The Role
Working closely with experienced Fee Earners, you will play a key role in the day-to-day progression of serious injury matters. You will act as a central point of support, helping to ensure files are managed efficiently, information is accurately recorded and clients receive a professional and responsive service throughout the life of their claim.
This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, confident communicating with a range of stakeholders and comfortable working to targets within a performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
Providing hands-on support to senior file handlers on serious injury files
Drafting routine correspondence and case progression documents via the case management system
Acting as the first point of contact for Fee Earners, managing incoming calls and enquiries
Handling telephone queries where appropriate and ensuring clear, accurate messages are passed on promptly
Updating the case management system with timely and accurate information
Working with your line manager to achieve agreed monthly KPIs
Maintaining well-organised electronic and physical filing systems in line with firmwide standards
Managing diary entries and arranging appointments on behalf of Fee Earners
Liaising with the Finance team regarding disbursements, outstanding fees and related queries
Assisting colleagues during peak periods, including document production, call handling, task lists and general administration
Sorting and distributing incoming post efficiently
Meeting performance targets within a results-driven environment
Undertaking any additional duties required to support the wider team and business

Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience within a personal injury legal environment (essential)
Experience working on multi-track personal injury or medical negligence matters (highly desirable, though fast-track experience will also be considered)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting
