Head of Housing Services


The Role As Head of Housing Services, you will lead and inspire our Housing Services teams to deliver outstanding services in Income, neighbourhood and tenancy management including ASB, lettings and tenancy sustainment. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Housing Services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our housing strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for all housing management functions, including Income, lettings, tenancy sustainment, anti-social behaviour and neighbourhood services.
  • Drive performance improvements to achieve KPIs and deliver excellent customer experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with housing legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practice.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and community engagement.
  • Manage budgets effectively and identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
  • Reporting and management lead for our housing management contracts

About You:

  • Level 5 Housing qualification (CIH or equivalent) or working toward this in the next 12 months.
  • Proven experience in a senior housing management role within a housing association or similar environment.
  • Experience managing a multi-faceted, multi-tenure service
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering operational excellence and service improvements.

We operate a hybrid working policy with an expectation of a minimum of 3 days a week office attendance at our offices in Chatham We also require a driving licence and use of a vehicle as some site visits may be required
