Finance Assistant in North London - Fame Recruitment Consultants Ltd

Our client is a specialist property finance lender providing flexible funding solutions across bridging and development lending in both residential and commercial markets.

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their growing accounts team which supports the finance and accounting functions across loan operations.

Based in our state-of-the-art offices in North London, this role offers an excellent benefits package, including private medical insurance, a pension scheme, on-site parking, and ongoing training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
• Process bookkeeping and journal entries.
• Manage daily payment runs and payment processing.
• Oversee receivables allocation and ongoing monitoring.
• Draft portfolio statements for funders.
• Prepare mortgage and repayment statements for borrowers.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general financial administration.

Key Requirements:

• 2–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounts position, ideally within property finance (e.g. buy-to-let, bridging, residential or commercial lending).
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero).
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Experience in accounts payable/receivable.
• Confident communicator with strong written and verbal English skills.
• Accounting or bookkeeping qualifications (e.g. AAT, ACCA foundation) are advantageous but not essential.
