Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Sheffield - Murray McIntosh Recruitment Consultancy

Murray McIntosh are searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to start work for a key client of ours on a permanent basis as detailed below:

Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed designs using Solid Edge/Inventor CAD Software
• Lead mechanical engineering activities across several projects
• Strong mechanical engineering background is essential
• Carry out calculations, reports & produce compliance documentation
• Previous defence industry experience would be preferred
• Act as design authority reviewing and approving design , calculations & specifications of team members
• Produce functional specifications, test plans, risk assessments, 3D models, 2D drawings & GAs etc
• Experience of hydraulics, lifting equipment or structural mechanical design is required
• FEA experience would be advantageous
• Candidates need to be eligible for SC clearance; if you are currently cleared that would be an advantage.
