Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate monthly financial data reporting for the business unit as part of the wider entity, ensuring all activities are completed within set timelines.
* Complete month-end reporting schedules for submission to the finance team, including general ledger close processes, posting journals, reviewing entries, and running monthly reports.
* Reconcile bank accounts each month to ensure only current items remain, following up with relevant teams to resolve outstanding issues promptly.
* Prepare monthly balance sheet and reconciliations for review by the Management Accountant.
* Manage ad-hoc invoicing requirements across various systems and handle intercompany recharges as required.
* Coordinate sanction request forms for internal review and act as a key liaison with the finance team on external audit matters.
* Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
* Input invoices, arrange funding, run payments for operations, resolve invoice queries, onboard vendors, maintain master data in Microsoft Dynamics, and raise purchase orders in SAP.
* Support cost centre managers in preparing forecasts and yearly budgets using accounting software, including cashflow management aligned with group deadlines.
* Contribute to management report preparation such as flash reports and performance reviews to inform strategic decision-making.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Part-qualified or fully qualified accounting credentials are highly advantageous for this position.
* Proven experience working within a finance-based environment supporting non-finance managers is essential for success.
* Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Dynamics and SAP platforms is highly desirable for efficient workflow management.
* Advanced Excel skills coupled with sound working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications are required for effective reporting.
* Ability to produce accurate schedules for both internal departmental needs and external reporting requirements is crucial.
