Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate monthly financial data reporting for the business unit as part of the wider entity, ensuring all activities are completed within set timelines.

* Complete month-end reporting schedules for submission to the finance team, including general ledger close processes, posting journals, reviewing entries, and running monthly reports.

* Reconcile bank accounts each month to ensure only current items remain, following up with relevant teams to resolve outstanding issues promptly.

* Prepare monthly balance sheet and reconciliations for review by the Management Accountant.

* Manage ad-hoc invoicing requirements across various systems and handle intercompany recharges as required.

* Coordinate sanction request forms for internal review and act as a key liaison with the finance team on external audit matters.

* Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

* Input invoices, arrange funding, run payments for operations, resolve invoice queries, onboard vendors, maintain master data in Microsoft Dynamics, and raise purchase orders in SAP.

* Support cost centre managers in preparing forecasts and yearly budgets using accounting software, including cashflow management aligned with group deadlines.

* Contribute to management report preparation such as flash reports and performance reviews to inform strategic decision-making.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Part-qualified or fully qualified accounting credentials are highly advantageous for this position.

* Proven experience working within a finance-based environment supporting non-finance managers is essential for success.

* Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Dynamics and SAP platforms is highly desirable for efficient workflow management.

* Advanced Excel skills coupled with sound working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications are required for effective reporting.

* Ability to produce accurate schedules for both internal departmental needs and external reporting requirements is crucial.

* A genuine desire to simplify processes, drive change initiatives, and improve existing workflows will set you apart.

* Self-motivation combined with meticulous attention to detail ensures high-quality output under tight deadlines within a team setting.

* Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities while maintaining dependable performance is valued greatly.

* Excellent communication skills that allow you to explain complex financial concepts clearly at all levels are important.
