Steel Detailer – About our client:
Our client is a well-established structural steel specialist supporting commercial, residential and infrastructure projects. They provide on-site welding, fabrication and technical support, and use industry-standard modelling software. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Steel Detailer to join their team.

Steel Detailer – Details:

• Varied structural steel projects

• Industry-leading 3D modelling tools

• Collaboration with engineers, workshop and installation teams

• Office-based, with occasional on-site surveys

Steel Detailer – Responsibilities:

• Interpret architects’/engineers’ drawings and specifications

• Produce 3D models and detailed drawings using Advance Steel/Tekla

• Prepare GA, installation and fabrication drawings

• Generate manufacturing and purchase lists

• Support material ordering

• Liaise with architects, engineers, clients and internal teams

• Conduct site surveys as needed

• Manage RFIs and site queries

• Assist workshop with drawing-related questions

• Maintain drawing registers and issue documentation

Steel Detailer – What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years’ UK structural steel experience

• Advance Steel detailing experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Comfortable working to deadlines
