Role: Commercial Property Paralegal
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum (with potential for an additional £250/month bonus)

Key Responsibilities:


As a Senior Commercial Property Paralegal, your main responsibilities will include:


  • Liaising with clients via telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings, always providing the highest standard of client care.

  • Communicating with solicitors, estate agents, lenders, and other professionals.

  • Performing due diligence for solicitors, clients, and third parties.

  • Requesting essential documentation and progressing transactions effectively.

  • Ensuring timely return of documents from clients and work providers, following up as required.

  • Logging correspondence and managing case files accurately using the case management system.

  • Managing data entry tasks and completing relevant actions within case files.

  • Undertaking general administrative duties in support of conveyancing and commercial property matters.

  • Balancing priorities effectively and responding flexibly to changing demands.

  • Updating stakeholders and referral partners, ensuring all portals are accurate and up to date.

  • Assisting with opening new files and preparing legal documents such as sale contracts and remortgage paperwork.

  • Reviewing and checking title documentation on sale transactions.

  • Preparing replies to enquiries and liaising with lenders regarding redemptions and mortgage funds.

  • Conducting source of funds checks and drafting financial statements and bills.

  • Preparing files for completion, including final searches and coordinating funds with clients.

  • Requesting authority for exchange and completion of transactions.

  • Meeting departmental KPIs and service standards.

  • Serving as a role model through excellent file management and professional conduct.

  • Supporting the Associate Director with delegated tasks as needed.

  • Participating in team meetings and assisting other departments when required.
About You:


The successful candidate will ideally have:


  • Minimum 12 months of experience in a conveyancing or commercial property legal support role (more senior applicants also encouraged).

  • At least 6 months of experience in a client care or customer service position.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A client-focused, proactive approach with a willingness to meet and exceed targets.
