Finance Manager in Sheffield - Sharp Consultancy

Sharp Consultancy is partnering with a leading Sheffield business in their search for a Finance Manager, to report directly into the Managing Director and Finance Director. This is an opportunity to join a successful, employee-centred organisation with a long-standing reputation for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The organisation work across national projects, inclusive of in-house design work, and a finance function that plays a central role in operational success including helping shape financial processes and improvements across the business.

Many of the senior team have progressed internally and now looking for a talented Finance Manager to support the next phase of expansion, with progression on offer for this position.

The Role:

Working from the Sheffield head office, taking responsibility for the full finance function, supported by a capable team the key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing the finance team
• Producing monthly management accounts including variance analysis
• Project reporting - revenue recognition and project profitability analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting & strategic planning (short, medium, long term)
• Business partnering to Directors and across business
• Cashflow forecasting
• Job costing and WIP reconciliation
• Process & continuous improvement
• Enhancing systems and processes across finance and operational areas

About You

You will bring:

• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
• Solid Excel capability (lookups, sumifs, pivot tables, etc.)
• Experience with job costing and WIP
• Enthusiasm, drive, and a desire to be part of a growing organisation
