Senior IFA Administrator

Location: Guildford

Salary: £36,000–£42,000 (DOE)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (Office-based)

A long-established and growing financial planning firm in Guildford is looking for an experienced Senior IFA Administrator to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, detail-focused professional who enjoys delivering high-quality support within a busy financial planning environment.

You’ll be supporting Advisers and Paraplanners, taking ownership of complex administrative tasks, assisting with report writing, and helping to maintain high standards across the admin team.

What you’ll be doing

Administration (60%)

  • Providing high-level support to Financial Planners and the support team
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients
  • Maintaining accurate client records and back-office systems
  • Processing new business, applications, transfers and policy servicing
  • Preparing valuations, meeting packs and documentation
  • Liaising with providers to obtain information and manage client instructions

Paraplanning Support (20%)

  • Drafting clear and compliant suitability reports
  • Conducting technical research and fund analysis
  • Ensuring all compliance paperwork is accurate and complete
  • Working with Advisers to understand client objectives

Work Quality Checking (20%)

  • Monitoring workflows and ensuring processes are followed
  • Supporting the Admin Manager with team development
  • Completing regular and ad-hoc quality checks on admin output
  • Identifying training needs and feeding back performance insights
About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience within IFA administration
  • Level 4 Diploma (DipPFS) or working towards it
  • Strong knowledge of pensions and investments
  • Experience using financial platforms and producing illustrations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong knowledge of Intelligent Office (or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills and outstanding attention to detail
  • Experience supporting or overseeing the work of others
