Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting a successful precision engineering company in their search for an experienced Operations Manager, to take overall responsibility for their facility. With excellent leadership, a great reputation and a promising 2026 in the works, it's a great time to be joining them.

The Operations Manager's main aim is to deliver the production plan through leadership, management and support of all reports in the business, providing clear communication, instructions and advice. Production must adhere to quality and safety standards whilst meeting productivity targets. The Operations Manager will sit as part of the Senior Leadership team and make decision to drive the businesses success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support planning and process efficiency with production leadership, ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Supervise, train and develop operators, managing performance, attendance and people-related processes
  • Lead recruitment for operational roles, manage staffing levels and support team wellbeing
  • Drive production planning, capacity management and KPI reporting, including financial and sales order updates
  • Oversee work orders, schedule adherence and on-time delivery, resolving bottlenecks and customer-impacting issues
  • Collaborate with Quality to investigate nonconformance and lead corrective/improvement actions
  • Maintain accurate system data (MRP/ERP) and provide regular reports to stakeholders
  • Champion continuous improvement, 5S standards and efficient shop-floor workflow. Set the standards for Health & Safety culture

Experience requirement:

  • Experienced Leader within complex/precision manufacturing industry - regulated industry preferred
  • Technically capable within complex manufacturing process to advise on the shop floor - CNC machinery knowledge / Engineering qualification preference
  • Commercially minded with examples of driving financial and sales performance across the office and manufacturing teams
  • Experience with production planning, scheduling and order analysis for prioritisation, machinery utilisation etc
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement, 5S and Lean Manufacturing Principles
