About the Role
We are currently seeking a high-calibre Associate-level or above Electrical Engineer to join our team in Bradford. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality electrical building services design within a mainstream UK design consultancy environment.
This is a key technical and leadership position offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the design, management, and delivery of a diverse range of building services projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and coordination of building services projects across various sectors.
- Manage project delivery from concept through to completion, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with relevant standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers.
- Liaise effectively with clients, architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to business development, bid preparation, and client relationship management.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working full-time in a mainstream UK building services design consultancy.
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership (e.g., with the IET or CIBSE) preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems design including LV distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and data systems.
- Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Revit MEP, AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
