Construction Lecturer (Multi-Skills)


Location: Sheffield

Contract Type: [Full-time/Part-time, Permanent/Temporary]

We’re looking for a dedicated Lecturer (Multi-Skills) to join our dynamic Construction team, delivering high-quality teaching across a range of trades including:

  • Carpentry & Joinery
  • Brickwork
  • Plastering
  • Painting & Decorating
  • Plumbing
  • Tiling

What We’re Looking For:
  • A relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Qualified to at least Level 2 in one trade area, with competence in at least one additional trade
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a lecturing or training role within Further or Higher Education
  • Strong understanding of innovative teaching techniques and internal quality processes
  • A professional, customer-focused approach with excellent attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging lessons across multiple trade disciplines to further education learners
  • Develop curriculum materials and assess student work to ensure learning goals are met
  • Lead and coordinate course teams, contributing to course verification and quality assurance
  • Support student recruitment, guidance, and progression through mentoring and coaching
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in your specialist areas and contribute to departmental development
